House Notes | Team Spirit v. Spooky Spirit | Millie Lily Belle

At this point in October, our house can’t decide who we are. The Halloween wreath and pumpkins are out, but the college banners are flying right next to them. October also happens to be the month in which everyone in our family decided to be born and get married. So here I sit with my best friends: candy corn, wrapping paper, and family weekend hotel reservations.

With a bit of creativity, we managed a quick trip to the pumpkin farm last weekend - squeezed in between the gym and kickoff. These days, I defer to hubs on picking the pumpkins because fall in the South means the temperature has DROPPED TO 85 DEGREES from the usual 95. If you were built for the North like me, you already know this is NOT CUTE photo weather. We're sending a selfie to the kids (all of whom are chasing degrees and careers) to prove we can still have fun, and I don't want anyone questioning my level of fun by looking strained and sweaty. 

So while they’re off living their best college and grown-up lives, I’m keeping the spirit alive here at home with a little Football + Halloween Bingo — something fun to play whether your house is full or just full of memories.
